Whenever you need it. Need it today? No problem. We can deliver within 3 hours, provided the schedule allows. Quick turnaround is our standard.
How does the deposit work?
No hassle with advance payments. The deposit is automatically deducted from your first payout. Once we receive the terminal back in good condition, the amount will be refunded to you promptly. You don’t need to do anything.
Which model should I choose?
Portable card machine – Ideal if you need mobility. Great for markets, outdoor terraces, or festivals. No power socket nearby? No problem. You’ll receive a high-quality battery and a charging station, so you can keep accepting payments with ease.
Fixed card machine (or ‘counter-top model’) – Perfect for fixed payment points such as shops, tills, and counters. The terminal stays securely in place, with separate units for both the customer and the cashier. Always powered, never a dead battery. Efficient and reliable.
Which details and documents do you need to receive from me?
You'll provide them quickly and easily during the online application process. No complicated steps – we only ask for what’s really necessary.
Do I need to arrange insurance myself?
You can, but it’s not required. It’s entirely up to you whether you’d like insurance for extra peace of mind – for example, in case of damage, theft or other unforeseen events. You’re free to arrange this with your own insurer.
Is it possible to collect the machine yourself?
No – we always deliver to your location. So there’s no need to go anywhere or queue up. We handle everything for you, both delivery and return.
How does the payment machine work when I receive it?
The machine is ready to use. Simply switch it on. A clear manual is included in the box. If you have any questions, just give us a call. We’re open six days a week.

How does the security deposit work?
You don’t need to pay the deposit upfront. It will be deducted from your first payouts. Once we receive the machine back in good condition, we’ll automatically refund the amount.
What information and documents do I need to provide?
You can simply fill these in during the application. No hassle, no unnecessary paperwork.

Can I collect the machine myself?
No. We deliver directly to your location. There's no need to pick anything up or arrange anything. Just have it delivered, set it up, and you're good to go.
Do you have references?

Questions about installation
What do I need to arrange myself for a payment terminal?
Nothing. Just switch it on and you’re ready to go. However, for a smooth experience, here are a few things to check:
1) A good internet connection. Without it, payments won’t go through. Make sure you have a wired connection, reliable Wi-Fi, or a mobile signal.
2) A working power socket (230V). This is essential for fixed terminals. Portable terminals only need power for charging. No power at your location or a low battery? Feel free to ask us for an extra battery.
3) Returning the terminal after use. It doesn’t get any easier. Just place the terminal back in the transport box, attach the included return label, and choose either collection or drop-off.
4) Do you need insurance? It’s not mandatory, but if you’d like, you can arrange it with your own insurer.
How long does it take to set up? Can I do it myself?
Absolutely. The transport box includes a clear manual. Setting it up takes just a few minutes. No technician needed, no technical knowledge required.
What kind of connection do I need?
Portable payment terminal: works via 4G and Wi-Fi.
Fixed payment terminal: works via an Ethernet cable or 4G if no cable connection is available.
You don’t need a mobile phone. Each wireless terminal has its own SIM card and automatically selects the strongest network. All you need to do is switch it on.
What types of payments can I accept?
All common debit cards: Maestro, V Pay, Visa Debit, and MasterCard Debit. Contactless payments and smartphone payments are also fully supported. Would you like to accept credit cards as well? If you provide us with your credit card connection numbers, we’ll set them up on the payment terminal.
When can I have the terminal delivered?
Whenever you want. In urgent cases, we can even deliver within 3 hours (depending on the location).
What should I do in case of a malfunction?
Give us a call. Even outside office hours (until 11:00 PM and on Sundays and public holidays), you can leave a voicemail. We’ll call you back and resolve the issue.
How do I return the payment terminal?
Use the original transport box. The return label and instructions are included. Returning it is just as easy as receiving it – and completely free of charge. You can either have it collected or drop it off at the parcel service, it’s up to you.
Questions about payouts
How soon will the money be in my account?
Very soon. We transfer your revenue on the next banking day. Fees and deposit are automatically deducted.
How will I receive the revenue?
Debit transactions are transferred to your account through the Stichting Derden Gelden. Credit card transactions are paid out according to your agreement with your credit card company.
How is the rental fee calculated?
You only pay for the days the payment terminal is in your possession; from the requested delivery date until the date of return. You won’t be charged for days when the terminal is in transit or delivered earlier than requested.
Are there any subscription fees in addition to the transaction fees?
No, there are no additional charges. The rental price covers all of these costs.
I would like to accept credit card payments. What do I need to do?
You need to sign an agreement with your credit card payment processor (also known as an acquirer). Let them know that you will be using a terminal from RENT A PIN. We will link the terminal to your account number and ensure it is properly disconnected once the rental period ends.
Are there any additional fees for credit card transactions?
No. RENT A PIN does not charge any additional transaction fees on your credit card transactions.
How are the deposit and fees settled?
The fees and deposit are deducted from your revenue. Once the terminal has been returned in good condition, the deposit will be refunded automatically.
What are the delivery costs?
None. Delivery and return are free of charge. Need a terminal urgently? We can deliver within 3 hours for an additional courier fee.
